Yes. It is made from hypoallergenic materials.

You can reapply it up to two to three times before needing a new one.

Yes. It is a single-use device and should be properly discarded after use.

While both secure a transducer for fetal heart monitoring, the Transpatch eliminates abdominal pressure, does not interfere with epidural placement, and reduces the risk of cross-infection.

No. It is manufactured in a controlled clean room and is ready to use out of the package.

No difference. The Transpatch holds the transducer effectively without causing additional abdominal pressure.

Yes. In clinical trials, 98% of women found the Transpatch more comfortable and easier to use. (The remaining 2% had hairy abdomens.)

IDEA USE:

  1. In multi gravida to avoid use of multiple belts & make fetal monitoring much easier.
  2. Telemetry monitoring.
  3. Bariatric patients because of excessive discomfort caused by belts.
  4. During insertion of epidural anaesthesia, to avoid the nurse kneeling close to hold the transducer by hand because the belt would be in the field of insertion of the epidural anaesthesia by the anaesthetist.
